Because jd8 Records is committed to your privacy, we adhere to the following policy:

1.  Personal Information

1.a.  The sole and exclusive purpose of our use of our online customers’ personal information (including name, address, contact information, and credit card or other billing information, as voluntarily supplied to us at the point of purchase) is to enable the sales transaction and deliver our products to our customers.  Customers’ information is not supplied to third parties except in the case that it is required by law.  jd8 Records may at times use general demographic information for statistical analysis which does not identify individual customers.

1.b.  jd8 Records may request your voluntary participation in customer surveys that would provide personal demographic information to help us improve our fulfillment or marketing services.  Participation in these surveys is, of course, voluntary.

1.c.  jd8 Records may also use access information as provided by the act of visiting out site, including, but not limited to, your IP address and your activity while on the site, for internal purposes or as required by law.  This access information would not be used in an attempt to identify you except in the case of legal action resulting from illegal activity on your part.

1.d.  As the information described in paragraphs 1.a. through 1.c. above is supplied voluntarily by the user, jd8 Records is not responsible for its accuracy.

1.e.  We use an outside shipping company to ship orders and a credit card processing company to bill customers for goods and services.  To our knowledge, these companies do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

2.  Information Storage

Information supplied by the user, with the exception of financial information, will be stored in our database for the user’s future reference.  This information is protected by SSL encryption and a challenge-response user ID and password created by you upon creation of your account.

3.  Security

3.a.  This web site takes precautions to protect our users’ information.  When users submit information via the web site, that information is protected by SSL encryption.

3.b.  While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take numerous precautions to protect user information off-line.  All of our users’ information is restricted in our offices.  Only employees and contractors who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.  All employees and contractors are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.  Our employees and contractors are notified and/or reminded frequently about the importance we place on privacy and what they can do to ensure our customers’ information is protected.  Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

4.  Customer Interaction

4.a.  Users may voluntarily elect to receive information on products, services, news, or promotions.  Out of respect for the privacy of our users, we present the option not to receive these types of communications via e-mail request.  If you have received a promotional e-mail and were not given the opportunity to opt out, you may send an opt out request to customersupport@jd8records.com.
